The arrival of 2020 brings changes to the EuroMillions game. The first transformation has to do with the increase of its limits, which to date had a maximum cap of its large boat set at 190 million euros. As of February 4, 2020, the maximum jackpot will increase to 250 million euros.

Of course, it will not change the rule of distributing the first prize among all the second category winners if in several draws it is not a single winner of the first category.

In order to increase the big jackpot, it will be necessary to reduce the prizes that are consigned with the lower categories of winners. As of February 4, 2020, with the same number of hits each winner will receive less money. In total, about 60 percent less revenue for minor prizes

The dates of celebration of the draw are kept intact, which will remain on Tuesdays and Fridays of each week. The rise of the new Euromillions jackpot will be 10 to 10 million euros for each draw, when there are no top-notch winners. If the four weeks were reached without a winner, the prize would be distributed among all the top winners. The ticket will continue to have the same price of 2.50 euros per share.

The reasons for this increase in the maximum jackpot are related to Italy. In August 2019, the Italian game SupereNalotto distributed a € 209 million jackpot, surpassing the Euromillions jackpot. With this change, the EuroMillions draw is once again the game that distributes the most money in all of Europe.
